          We opened our doors in 2003 with a single goal: to provide cable management products to networking professionals who needed parts on a moment’s notice. Our product line was slim but our customer service was the industry’s best. In fact, our first customers wrote our first slogan, “Proficium: The ER for IT Professionals.” Fast forward to 2017 and we are as committed to our customers today as we have ever been.  But just like the customers we serve, just about every other part of the business has evolved!

          We specialize in copper and fiber optic cable assemblies. Our products are built exactly to our specifications, meeting or exceeding ANSI/TIA standards for premium copper and ISO/IEC, TIA/EIA standards for fiber optic patch cords. What’s more, we offer services to save you time and money: we kit, bundle, and label. Our “value-added” mindset separates us from our peers. Our Newark, California warehouse also inventories power cords and cable management items for bundling and labeling, cable tray and cable runway. And we deliver locally!

Dan Miranda, RCDD
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dan Miranda brings over 30 years of experience in the networking, data center and distribution industries to his role as CEO. An avid entrepreneur, Miranda has a proven track of launching successful businesses and driving consistent top- and bottom-line growth. Prior to launching Proficium, Miranda served as general manager at Communication Supply Corporation (CSC, now WESCO) and opened the company’s first Silicon Valley office in the early 1990’s. Under Miranda’s leadership, CSC established itself as the premier data & communications distributor throughout the Bay Area. Miranda served in other management roles for CSC for nearly 15 years. He held sales and management roles at Anixter.

Miranda studied and played baseball at San Francisco State University.

Troy Bienemann
President

Troy Bienemann brings a strong financial background and a fresh perspective to Proficium. Prior to joining Proficium, Bienemann served in the investment banking group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., focusing on mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and debt financing across the industrial, clean tech and healthcare sectors. Bienemann began his corporate career in the Finance organization at Gilead Sciences . Previously, Bienemann spent three years playing tight-end in National Football League, primarily with the Arizona Cardinals.

Bienemann earned degrees in Finance and Broadcast Journalism from Washington State University and his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
