Position overview

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. This role ensures accurate inventory handling and supports timely delivery of materials to internal departments, playing a key role in the company's operational flow.

Reports To: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming materials against packing lists or purchase orders
• Safely transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods within the facility using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts
• Stage materials for production based on work orders
• Perform physical inventory counts and support cycle counting activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas in accordance with 5S standards
• Ensure proper identification and segregation of non-conforming materials
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Assist in data entry for inventory transactions
• Support loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Collaborate with other departments to meet daily operational needs
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift certification (preferred or required, depending on site)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a sense of urgency
